Housing Task Force
The mission of the Housing Task Force: to provide affordable housing solutions through partnerships with all residents of Southwest Georgia. We are building better communities through housing, health, jobs, and technology. In-person or virtual meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 A.M. We invite speakers to present each month to discuss issues related to housing or housing related issues.
On-site housing fairs are a great way to take housing resources to the community. Fairs have been held in Albany, Camilla, Blakely, Thomasville and Pelham.
First-time homebuyer education seminars have been held in Thomasville, Moultrie, Smithville, Camilla, Newton, Pelham, Sumner and at various churches and chambers in the region, and additional seminars are being planned. This is a good first step to homeownership.
